Am I missing something or is the Constable absurdly overpowered?

It's basically a guaranteed point, right?

Seems very strong, but not guaranteed since if you make it to the end and lose then you wouldn't get the point. This probably happens reasonably often with 7 or 8, probably a little less so with 5 or 6.
