Hi there,

I'm new here and have enjoyed my first few games!

I came here mainly because I want to play Tash Kalar, but I can't see any open real-time tables I can join and nobody joins mine.

Do people mainly play this game as turn-based? Do I need to achieve something on the site before I'm allowed to join? (I can't really see tables that I'm not allowed to join either, though…)

Is anyone up for playing in real time?

It's not always easy to find players online at a given time, as it's not one of the most popular games on here, though it has a fierce core of followers. But just persist and you'll find players for real-time play and for turn-based, though the latter is maybe more popular. I'd be happy to play anytime, either type of game (assuming I have the free time for a real-time game).

Tash Kalar is definitely a more popular turn based game. I stopped playing it in real time because it took more than five minutes to plan some moves correctly (sometimes even 10 or 15 minutes). I don't like being rushed. I don't have a problem getting people to join my turn based games. Usually, someone joins within 12 hours.

Are you playing High Form or Deathmatch? It's nearly impossible to find someone to play a Deathmatch game in real time. It's slightly easier for High Form, but you'll definitely have more luck playing it in turn based mode.

Thanks for your responses. Perhaps I'll try some turn-based games and see if they satisfy me. I've added you both as friends and hope you'll be up for a game with a beginner!

I find that it's easy to find people to play 2p Deathmatch in real time, but good luck with 3 or 4.... which is a shame because 2p high form and 3/4p deathmatch are the best versions of the game; 2p deathmatch, not so much.
