Love Letter Suggestion - Option for Number of Rounds

Just completed an 8-player game of Love Letter (with expansion). It lasted for 1.5 hours which is way too tedious.

It shouldn't last for so long for a light strategy game.

I would suggest adding an option for the host. Let the host chooses the maximum rounds to be played. If no one reaches 4 points when the designated number of rounds end, the game will end and resolve automatically.

Just don't play with 8 people. 8 player Love Letter is boring and unnecessarily long, especially if you are knocked out of a round quickly. I only play Love Letter with 4-6 people, and the game goes by quickly if you're playing with experienced players.

Personally, I like that there isn't a maximum number of rounds because it allows players who are behind to catch up. I've won the game before after being in last place, and others have as well. Adding a number of rounds option would make that dreaded strategy where people target players beneath them even more popular. This will only encourage people to play for second, third, fourth, etc. rather than first.

I'm in favor of having an option where you can lower the maximum amount of points you need to win but not number of rounds.
