Tournament in catch-up mode

I just logged in to discover that I had about 10 new turn-based games to play. Apparently I was thrown into an ongoing Can't Stop tournament and have to play against everyone at the same time. I am not complaining but am very surprised. Is this a bug? Or some feature I had never stumbled across before?

Hi,
There is no such feature.
I can check but I need to know which tournament this is as you registered 8 tournaments on the latest days

hm, violating terms of service by having at least two people share an account?

Anyway, this is not a bug. This is a Round Robin type of tournament, one of three tournament modes supported on BGA.
In Single-elimination tournaments, players are put into a binary tree. Single games are played, the loser is eliminated and the winner is paired with the winner of the other game on their branch. The tournament progresses until only one person remains unbeaten. A bad day or bad luck can cause the best player not to win.
In Round Robin tournaments, every player plays every other player. The player with the best record wins. However, it takes the most matches to determine the winner.
In Swiss-style tournaments, the other two types are combined. First, each player plays a match. Then, another round is played, with winners being paired against winners and losers paired with losers. In round 3, 2-game winners are paired, 1-1 records are paired, and 2 game losers are paired. This continues so that in each successive round, players are more likely to be matched with someone close to their skill level. The player with the best record after a set number of rounds wins.

Okay, I suppose there is a kind of tournament in which everyone plays against everyone else, all at the same time. I hadn't yet come across that sort of thing. My previous tournaments had all been one game after another over a longer period of time. Or am I missing something?

And now I just noticed what you were referring to there. Who posted that under my name? If it is an admin, please explain.

Apologize. I was logged under your account to check this tournament issue and did not logged out before posting on forum.
