Please add a way to track concessions...

It's possible that my views may be the minority on this subject but I am really not a fan of the recently added "concede" button. It really takes the fun out of the game when people concede prematurely. I am getting this alot once a game starts to turn in my favor, my opponent ends the game on the spot. I am one of those players that will sit through and take it when I am getting beat out of respect for my opponent. Until a tracking system is added for people who habitually "concede" I am giving a thumbs down to anybody I play that uses that function without asking me first. Nothing personal, its the only way to remind me that I just don't want to play with people who I can't rely on finishing games.

Thumbing down is fine, there's no need to track concessions. If I'm hammering someone in a game (or getting hammered) I have no problem with conceding.

Playing a game is about everyone enjoying it; if your opponent is no-longer enjoying the game it's inconsiderate to force them to continue playing.

You have a great point but it does work both ways. It's equally inconsiderate to back out of a game because just because the game doesn't go your way. If an opponent wants to concede I think it's courteous to ask first. In that scenario I wouldn't "force" someone to continue playing if they are not having fun. I get the occasional concede but there are folks out there that habitually don't finish games (even when they are almost over) because they don't want to lose (and yes I get that conceding counts as a "loss" on our profile, but its more about the game experience I'm addressing).

Concession is an accepted aspect of 1-on-1 competition all over the world. It is honorable to accept a concession with grace and respect for your opponent. It is shameful to ridicule your opponent for admitting defeat.

After a concession your opponent has lost the contest and acknowledged your superiority. Do you really think it is appropriate to spite him for this? That you should feel the need to do so indicates poor or unhealthy character.

Besides, when it comes to casual internet board gaming there's this simple logic: why should either of us waste our time playing out a conclusion we both know to be inevitable? We can start new games right away if I tip my hat and declare you the victor now.
