Board Game Arena

During a recent game a Spectator started chat initially calling a player a cheat then filling the chat with scrambled illiterate type.
Destroying the harmony of a friendly game environment which we all should be able to enjoy.

1/. Is there a way to turn the Chat off to spectators?

2/. Is there a mechanism to report issues from spectator chat couldn't find one (so I've sent an email to BGA with game details)

3/. Request the ability to give THUMB UP/DOWN to spectators who show up in game at end of the game similar to that you can give other players. This would mean you could report this sort of crap with a THUMB DOWN or if a spectator is assisting teaching the game praise with a THUMB UP..

Agreed. The thumb (green and red) should be able to be applied to anyone we can have interaction with on this site, not just people who finished a game with us.

Ability to thumb down spectators from game screen + make thumbed down players unable to speak as spectator on your table will be available in few days.

even players who just take a 1second look of the game then leave?

No. Only those who speaks.

there was a noisy observer just now, I was able to give him a red thumb even though I never give a green thumb and the player never played the game I was playing, great!

no, he keeps talking, using language I dont understand
