I am reposting email that Emmanuel sent to bga studio users earlier, I did not receive it, neither some other people, so just in case you did not receive it too its on the forum:

-------------------
Dear BGA studio developers!

BGA Studio is one of the BGA community tools we are the most proud of: during the past years, more and more games have been developed by you using this tool. Thank you for that!

However, we originally thought that only a few developers would be interested by this platform, and BGA Studio was not designed to handle such a success. Over the past years, you sent us a lot of feedback about the Studio, and we are happy today to announce that after a lot of effort, a new Studio is alive :)

The most noticeable improvement is the speed: BGA Studio has now its own dedicated servers and is as fast as the real BGA.

Another major important improvement is that BGA Studio is totally up-to-date: we reviewed our BGA update process to embed the Studio in it, so from now on features will be available on the Studio as soon as they are available on BGA :)

You also have now a *Delete project* button on the *Manage game* page of your projects. Could you please check your projects, delete test projects you don't use anymore, and update the status comment of your alive projects? (for example *X% complete, working on Y*): studio.boardgamearena.com/#!projects

That would really help to get a better feeling of what's actually going on :)

Here is a list of other improvements / new functionalities:

_ studio logo is not the same as the main site logo in order to be able to see immediately if you are on the studio or on BGA
_ for published games, you can get unexpected errors and syntax errors from production in separate tabs (make sure to allow popups for studio.boardgamearena.com to use this)
_ in the project list, there is now a link to go to the game page, a link to go to the manage project page (if you have the appropriate rights on the project), a link to get readonly access to the project (so you can easily get some example code from projects doing some stuff you are interested in doing in your own project) and a link to release readonly access to the project (there is a limited number of projects that can be mounted, so if you don't use a project anymore you should release readonly access)
_ when you remove images from the img folder of your project, they are now automatically removed from source control
_ commit and build is now available in just one step
_ better source control functions: in addition to committing, you can now check the commit log, get a diff with a previous revision, and get back to a previous revision
_ when committing, the img folder is now checked for number of images (with a warning to use CSS sprites if you have too many images, and an error if your img folder size is more than 10Mb as this means that you probably included high resolution images by mistake)
_ you can now test your game with another fellow studio developer from your respective accounts (no need to share credentials anymore)
_ when including people into the team for your project, giving someone write access doesn't remove your own write access. But make sure to synchronize with your team: when you have write access together, you can easily overwrite one another's changes if you don't pay attention!

We hope that you'll enjoy these improvements and have fun coding!
(feedback and further suggestions are welcome in reply to this email)

Cheers,
Emmanuel from BGA
