Visibilité des informations liées à notre compte BGA

Bonjour,

Merci

I think part of the issue is being able to click on those links and reading forum posts when you are not logged in, because I tried that. Whatever you can't see without being logged in also should not be seen coming from a link if you aren't logged in.

I'm an extremely private person and don't think it's anyone's business what I choose to do with my time, even people I know, and even so I don't have a huge issue with this.

For one reason, just a search on "sourisdudesert" didn't turn up as much. It was easier to find things at BGG. Your search was for that ID name specifically at Board Game Arena. Now, who would put BGA in the search, with an ID name, unless they already knew both existed? In which case, they can register for BGA and find the same thing anyway. That makes them "connected" people, and definitely people who already see some kind of connection between site and ID. If someone didn't know we existed, how can they do such a search?

I get that sometimes you can accidentally stumble across something. Which is why I don't use my real name, why most people I know don't know my ID on here, and why I use different ID's at different sites. (Though I use the same one at all board gaming sites.) And since my ID is a character, you'd find lots of things that have nothing to do with me. A google search on my ID turns up only one hit that's really me on the entire first page. (And sometimes you'll get Lillian in there as well.) I sometimes get made fun of when I won't divulge such information, but you need to take some responsibility for your own privacy.

I suppose they could make profiles have a private option that hides it even from the rest of us, although your reputation should still show, and perhaps even the information on your games. If I'm considering playing a game with you, I think I have a right to know this. I also want to know how long someone has been a member. If you only ever do private games with people you already know, I suppose there could be an option made to keep you completely private from anyone but them, but you would have to know you don't ever want to play with anyone else.
