Board Game Arena

I just finished a game of RFTG with Goddamn. In the game a clicked the wrong phases. This wasn't simply a minor mistake. I had previously produced on spiceworld so that I could consume on the next turn. It was obvious I made a mistake by clicking double dev due to some lag on my part. On top of this I had old earth ans his consume phase was going to gobble my only good. I literally lost 2-3 turns because of a keyboard error.

I asked for a rematch (where would agree to quit). His response was 'Either play or go away'. Though within his right it is callous and petty. I have in the past restarted games that I felt had been fudged due to the interface. I think it was reasonable to give him thumbs down (his 13th). I guess as more pettiness he also gave me thumbs down (my second).

I find this really annoying anytime you thumbs down someone they are almost always going to thumbs you down back. Therefore assholes are simply going to keep spreading bad reputation. I am aware that the assholes will have far worse reps but they will nevertheless spread there problems around.

What solution do you propose?

If you fear retaliation, you could always leave player feedback at a later time. Simply revisit the page for the game in your play history and rate him later. If he's played several games since and then signed off, it's unlikely that he'd connect the dots.

It's no big deal.

I've had 2 times a thumbs down in Saboteur
1st one because I haven't played a straight forward path
2nd one because I've asked someone to play instead of chatting all the time.

I don't play Saboteur any more.

What about playing games with more than 2? My last game was with 4. I had the best time, played reasonably well but lost the game and one them gave me a red thumb. I have no idea who or why. There was no conversation during the game but everyone indicated 'gg' at the end. So someone out there is being really really petty. There should be a way to determine who gave me the hit (and why) so that I can avoid playing with that person in the future and lower the risk of another unwarranted red mark.

Greywolf, each person can only give *one* red mark to another player. If you already have a red mark from a player, he can't give you more.

Phelan - Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of that. That helps but It only solves part of the problem though. I still don't wan't to play with whoever it was. Of course there is a chance that they might change their mind in a later game so that's worth something I guess.
