Required Seat should restrict game starting

There're 2 kind of seat: "required" and "free". The following topic relate the first one, nothing with second.

For now, required mark is simply a symbol to make guest know the min players that host wants. But sometimes host just use the default setting or lose patience, start game with fewer than seats marked. It should be forbidden, since the guest maybe pick the table by this term, to start freely means an unnecessary rejection or unwanted game mode. So please put a red bar when host doesn't respect this setting.

there are games that are difficult to find full player so sometimes host has to start with not the best number of players

like xidit sometimes they hope for 5, but usually there are only 3-4 players, all depends on the available players, I think this is reasonable in the normal mode

There's another seat called "free seat", if u want to have 5 but 3 is ok, then u set 3 required seats and 2 free seats, but if u set 4 required seat and start with 3, that only means u had wrong setting.

if I want 4, but I wait for 10mins there are still 3, so I just start, is that ok?

I never try the simple mode, may I ask will the players who use simple mode automatically agree or disagree the start of the game?

You can see on an invitation whether each seat is required or not, so if the minimum is less than you would like to play with, don't take the game or wait til more players take it. No one is making you. In simple mode, you can set your preferences on number of players. This is on the person taking invitations, not on the person who made it.

What would be the point of allowing a table admin to choose the min & max if you're going to ban the minimum? That doesn't make any sense at all. :!: If they start the game when they have the minimum, and you don't like that number, they aren't "disrespecting" the setting - the setting was allowed.

For example, a table has "10" required seats, I join it cause I wish to play with "10". But as soon as I join, the host start the game without a notice or change any setting, only "2" at this table NOW. Why system allow him to do it?

I only play turn based games so not sure if real time game are any different but I agree with op. I think people are misunderstanding his post. There are required seats and also 'players are welcome' seats. He is saying the room admin sets up the number of required seats but starts the game before they have been filled. If the room admin was happy to play with less then he should have set the table up properly.

It is annoying when people do this.

There's a certain player who always sets her Tokaido tables to "4 required seats, 1 welcome seat" but will immediately start the game when only 1 other player joins. I know that 2 player Tokaido isn't popular, but she's being unnecessarily deceptive. If she wants to only play 2 player Tokaido, then she needs to set her table to that.

If I'm hosting a game and we don't have the required number of people, I ask the other players if it's okay to start. Though for some games, it's best to wait for the required number of people - I hate when people pressure me to start.

I think penalizing players for starting without the required seats being filled is too harsh; however, I wish that hosts would ask the table first before they start the game, and I wish players would not pressure the host to start if they don't want to.

This should only be a turn based issue.
Turn based tables may be started by the table admin at any time, so long as the minimum number of players for the game are at the table.
Realtime requires a confirmation from everyone at the table to start the game.

You're right - I'm misunderstanding that. If N_Faker is correct that for real-time everyone has to agree (and can start the game with less than the required minimum), then this sounds like a bug. (Which should be reported in the bugs.) But, I don't think it should be forbidden to start with less, if everyone agrees, since it may be difficult to get enough players. Although I admit it sounds a bit risky, because if someone doesn't want that few and never agreed to that, I could see someone giving them a red thumb because they "held up starting."
