Board Game Arena

I got a note that i am expected at a game for my next tournament match. It was that faded spot like when you expect someone at a realtime game. I hit join game. It appeared that right after the opponent did the same but then nothing happened. I went abck then went to that screen with our names and it says game in progress. I hit "go to game" and i get sent back to the start screen. Is this a bug?

this is a 2 day limit game and it says game was abandoned due to techincal error YET instead of a restart it gave the opponent the game 4 HOURS AFTER IT STARTED! how can someone win a abandoned game and one lose!
