Generally, the color preferences are based on what player colors are available in the game -- they are not arbitrary colors that BGA sets. Unfortunately, this means that until game manufacturers start including those colors, they most likely will not be available.

However, there are actually a number of games that BGA already has in their catalog that have purple as a player color. It would be nice if this was one of the options for color preferences since this is in fact an option in some of the games.

Please make all the colors available that are present in one/more of the games here on BGA.

This is already implemented, it is a Premium feature, You can "preselect" 2 colors in order of preference and if the game uses one of these 2 the color is picked, but this is only on games where color does not matter. In games like Terra Mystica where the color decides the faction this setting is not taken into account.

What about Signorie?
In a 2 player game my non-premium partner was yellow (my preferred colour).

Is there a list of game that do/don't use the colour preference?

Signorie is an asymmetrical game, at least for tokens objectives.

The token objectives are different.

You're talking about where you place the alliance tiles when you do missions.
The distribution of alliance tiles is even, so given randomness, there is no advantage to be gained in a particular player board.

Same is true for Lewis and Clark. I'm orange, should be yellow.
