Hello Everyone,
I'm new here, and I'd like to adapt Complots for my first game.
I'm still checking at the first tutorials but I couldn't find anyone using the Canvas tag. I thought it was recommended for games ?!

Hi Pastachoco,
Actually there is already a well advanced project on adapting this game, it's in approval stage with the publisher (and unfortunately a little stuck at this stage currently...)
You are right, we don't use the canvas tag. It being recommanded for games would probably be more about video games more than for what we do here on BGA.

Oh okay ! I was sure I couldn't find it in the projects list. My bad...
So you won't recommend using it for any game in here.
Thanks for your quick answer

So, I double-checked in the studio projects page and I was unable to find the other "Complots" project Een was talking about, but I found "Coups" which is an older version of the game. Were you talking about this one ?
But I think some rules are slightly different.
Thanks

Yes, project is coupcitystate.
Basically the same game, it has been declined in multiple editions.

I used some advanced canvas-like drawing in one games. But for majority of games is not needed. Why did you think of that?

When you learn to code games (specialy video games) on javascript, every tutorial is base on the canvas tag, I thouht it was a convention.

These are really far from vidio games, they actually purposely not like video games to preserve original boardgame feel
