Does the game interface show anywhere which hazard cards have been removed during previous rounds, or is that something we have to manually track?

You have to track it and remember it yourself.

In the original rules is stated that the hazzard card removed from the game is stored under the pyramid card (the one that indicate the round number). So in the game interface I just programmed an animation to move the card to that spot and I put a message on the log but I leave no visible trace so that resembles better the spirit of the game.

Would it be possible to have a variant which display or not these cards?

(it would be also easier for beginners to understand the game)

I'd hope for an option to display the removed cards as it helps a tad with the probabilities of upcoming disasters
