Would it be possible to add a way to mark chat messages as read? In turn-based games it can be annoying to follow chat. You get online and see that you have new chat messages in that game but they are really all the past ones. And if you have more than 9 it simply never changes to show something new is there. I would love to know if a new message has been posted since my last turn. I believe this would raise the level of interaction in turn-based games.

Also, could we add timestamps to the chat messages? Would be great to be able to compare to the game play history and have some idea about what the person may have been commenting on.

I guess I do see that. Hmmm. Not a fan of how that is implemented but it's there. Hard to tell which comment applies to which move though.

On real-time game I will say Hi, probably regardless, but turn-based ANY chat you know will then pollute the page forever after. Sure it's nice to have the list of messages popup when they've just been written but for every turn thereafter is very annoying and ironically discourages chat.

Agreed. I also usually just don't chat on turn-based tables because I don't want to create the pop-ups every turn.

I know this has been requested before, but it is quite annoying having the chat in the way until it decides to go away, and difficult to see when there's something new.

It also seems to me that if I answer a chat message outside the game (since they will pop up on other pages), it never shows up on the chat within the game.
