2 x beggars horn

I played a game with 2 beggars horns in play and 1 energy in my supply. At the end of the turn I only received 1 energy.

Surely this is incorrect. There can only be 1 time designated the "end of turn" so both should have triggered at that time, if there were 2 different "end of turn" times then other cards (eg wonderous chest) should trigger twice, which would be silly.

Is there an order of hierarchy? Does anyone know what it is?

The publisher notes that cards are activated one at a time (even the same card). So, at the end of the round, the first horn is checked, and since you have one or less, you gain one. Then, the second one is checked, and since you now have 2, it doesn't trigger.

If you had no energy at the end of the round, you should gain 2.

Thanks for the link, it's really helpful to know what the publishers intended.

It would probably be easy to clarify. You could say something like "during" rather than "at" the end of turn, and so not imply a single event trigger. Then spot something in the rules about the order of resolving stuff.

Still, I know now. Healthier to let go.
