Hi, I keep hitting the limitation - I have three (max possible) tables open turn based and then I see someone or someones has opened another nice table. I cannot join any because of my three tables open. So I have to quit one my table, then join all other tables I want (any number) and then create back my third table. Repeat the same when another table noticed.

As one can play hundreds of turn based games why there is three table limit? Ok, I could live with my ability to open max 3 turn tables. But the restriction to join to others at the same time seems weird.

P.s. my tables sometimes stay open for a longer while because I restrict to strong players and reputation. I think it is normal.

I don't think there is any kind of limitation. I am a premium member, but some of my friends have invited me to more than 3 tables at a time, on occasion maybe 8-10 tables.

I am guessing, one of three things is happening.

1. You are opening real-time tables of which there is a limitation. So you need to choose a turn-based time-frame like 2 moves per day.

2. You need to click the 'open table to players' button at the top. This seems to finalise the creating a table process.

3. Stop time travelling. You'll only end up walking around in a school uniform. (Umbrella academy reference).

I also am a premium member. Let me explain once again the issue:

1) I have open three turn based Bubble Pop tables - right now when I am writing this - welcome to join any of them.

I expect they will stay open for a while, as they are restricted to Strong+

3) I am going to join it:

3.1) I press [Join game]

3.2) I receive screen
You are about to play a turn-based game with real opponents.
The approximate duration of this game is 1.1 days
Clicking on 'accept' is a commitment to play this game until the end.


3.3) I click

3.4) this apears:
You already have 3 tables with this game, waiting to start. You must make these tables start before joining new ones, or choose another game. (You can Play in real-time instead)

This whole post is about - WHY there is this limitation? If I am in general allowed to play unlimited number of turn based tables, why am I not allowed to join bruszinyuszi turn based table?

How can I make my turn based games to start if I am still waiting for anyone to join?

So I must go, close one of my open turn based tables only to join bruszinyuszi turn based table, also I can join Ivardo turn based table and any number of other turn based tables. After doing that artificially triggered sequence I then must create back the third my turn-based table.

I see no logic in that restriction to join to other turn based tables and in this post I suggest to remove this restriction.

I am no expert, but it sounds like a bug or something.
Likely there are 3 real-time tables that are lurking around somewhere in the database, and these are hindering your ability to open or join tables.

This change has been requested by many of you, so we introduced it 2 years ago: viewtopic.php?t=11307

Before that, some players were creating 30 tables with the same games, waiting for opponents, making the turn based lobby unreadable.

Note that open tables with no free seats are NOT taken into account, so you can setup any number of tables to play with friends.

but I am not asking ability to open 1001 turn based table myself. I respect the current 3 table opening restriction.

I am talking about my in-ability to join to other turn based tables while I have my 3 open waiting for anyone to join.

I hardly believe this inability to join to others opened turn based tables had been asked by anyone

Yes. This is the same limitation. If you create a table or join a table, this is still an "open table waiting to start".

However, I agree that we could increase this limit when there are at least 2 confirmed player at a table. For example:
_ Maximum of 3 open tables where you are alone, waiting for other players.
_ Maximum of 10 open tables where there are at least 2 confirmed players, waiting for other players.
_ Unlimited number of open tables without any free seats (same rule as today)

May I just mention that

when I join - my sample case - bruszinyuszi Bubble Pop turn based table - then this game actually starts the next second when I join as this is a two player table, so I would not treat as the '"open table waiting to start" since it has started after I joined.

As I wrote currently I, seeing the turn based table I want to join, I go and manually close (as I can't revert it to 'created but unopened') one of my open turn based tables [which was peacefully waiting for the player to join], then I join all the turn based Bubble Pop tables I want - any number - they all start - and then I go back to create and open another my turn based table to have still three.

Annoying and in my humble opinion useless action sequence (plus I keep wasting table IDs )

I noticed this has been fixed! Now I can have three tables open and join to others games joined to couple already and thank you, BG team!!!
