When a game is released on BGA, is the date documented?

On the game page, the Year I think it the year the actual board game was published, and the revision is just the last date the game was modified.

Not an elegant solution, but I think many of the games had an official launch announcement that should be archived in the announcements forum. This may not apply to the first several games on the site, though. Also, digging through those for 100+ games will be tedious.
