Several times this week, I joined an open game, just to be removed by the administrator. While I understand that you might not want to play with just anyone on the site, we have better tools to deal with this.
If you only want to play with specific other players:
Don't open up the game to other players, just invite the people you want.
If you don't want players above/below a certain skill or reputation level:
Use the filters!
That way, I don't waste my time joining games I'm not gonna get to play.
