What is "Number of abandoned" in the statistics?

Hello!

I understand all the metrics in the game's statistics except "Number of abandoned". What does it mean?

Best wishes,

I have the same question.

Wouldn't abandon in statistics be the number of times you have left a game?

My interpretation is that it's the number of rolls where you stop before you fail.

It's the number of started, but not finished columns.

<Edit later>
I see this is not correct. See my next post.

Correction:

I checked four of my recent games and I see my response above is NOT correct. I now think it is the number of times the player stopped. (MukkeDK is correct. :) )

To check, search in the game log (https://boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table= [add the table number]) for:

"%Player_name% chooses to stop"

Makes sense for statistics. Abandoned + failed = total number of turns. Since the first player starting would have had 1 extra turn compared to the other players if he were to win, it is important to reflect total number of turns in statistics somehow.
