I have a question regarding the Most Popular Games section. How are those games selected? Is it based on the number of games completed? Or the number of games active? Both? Number of minutes spent on each game?

Number of minutes spent on each games recently.

However, this cannot be the only parameter: as there are free game and Premium games on BGA, Premium games would be very disadvantaged (this is not a surprise: if a game is Premium it is less played than a free game, even if more popular).

So basically our algorithm is trying to avoid this distortion.

To conclude, the "most popular games" ranking you can see may be interpreted as "The games where the maximum of time would have been recently spent if all games were free".

Ok that makes sense! I was surprised to see a heavy game like Caledonia at no.1 especially since it’s Premium! Thank you for the explanation!

Yeah, I thought this as well! But yeah, no matter whether they're free or premium games, there's one important thing in common: these are games for which you won't wait for long to find partners!
