Hi all!
I forgot about a turnament , and another one I lost because of night time . Because of that my reputation went from 100% to 40 :/ is there anything that can be done about night time . Because we can’t play and sleep at the same time. And regaining reputation is very long as players don’t want to play with someone that has 40% and can’t chat :(
Thank you in advance for your advice

Yes, there is something that can be done.

Read the multitude of warnings that are displayed before you sign up for any game.

Yes, I mean to sound callous on this. Every table and every tournament has a warning that says that you are dealing with other live people, and there are penalties for not following through on your commitment to them. The user has to acknowledge this warning before they can join the table. Posts requesting exemptions are basically saying "I am more important than any other person on this site, and the rules shouldn't apply to me." If this doesn't make sense, I guess the only other option is to join others with a similar outlook and pursue a career in politics.

I get the warning of course but time keeps running during night time and we all have different time issues, depending on where you live. Just that it’s raging to lose for anyone just because of night time. But I get that :D . I love BGA, thanks for existing

I've had some trouble with that in the past too, that's kind of why I stopped joining tournaments.

Realtime tournaments are always an option though, they aren't that bad.
And, you should avoid tournaments with short time, because as you've mentioned, it is pretty easy to run out of time in them unintentionally.
Also, it is theoretically possible for the opponents to figure out when do you usually go offline and just play their moves in that time, exploiting the system. So I think the tournament system is flawed in that regard.

So I'd only join Realtime tournaments or turn-based tournaments with long time if I were you.
