Board Game Arena

I have opted to join the Arena Mode. I want to play a turn-based game which I do not have the minimum 100 ELO but it will not let me start a game. How will I ever get the minimum ELO if I can't start a Turn-based game and can't play the game. Am I doing something wrong?

You must first reach 100 ELO using "Simple mode", and afterwards it will unlock mode Arena for you.
