Board Game Arena

The translation of the main site interface in two more languages has now gone over 80%: Board Game Arena is now available in Greek and in Russian.

This is a great milestone as Board Game Arena is now available in no less than 10 different languages! Many thanks and a big applause to all for your contributions to the translation process that made this possible... and totally awesome !

Danish and Dutch are also going forward very nicely with the main site interface complete at 64%. We hope to be able to make them available very soon!

Anyhow, is there a way to know how many players from each country are there?

Hello! Great, now Board Game Arena is available in Russian. I am a rather new player on BGA, but I guess that translation process was long and not easy. And at last we can see "how it tastes and how it sings" and how it looks like. Hm... Whatever reasons there were: small number of Russian-speaking players who might cross-check one another, lack of resulting picture before our eyes - but the translation is now a bit... ugly. The most typical situation is: a string is too long for the button or space where it ought to be. There are some mistranslations as well. But 77% of strings are already validated, so what can we do?

Привет! Здорово, теперь Board Game Arena доступна на русском языке. Я сравнительно недавно на BGA, но догадываюсь, что процесс перевода был долгим и непростым. И вот наконец-то можно увидеть "каково оно на вкус и как звучит", а короче, как всё это выглядит. Хм... Какие бы ни были причины: малое количество русскоговорящих игроков, которые могли бы перепроверить друг друга, отсутствие картинки-результата перед глазами - но перевод пока выглядит... страшненько. Наиболее типичная ситуация такова: строка длиннее, чем кнопка или пространство, где она должна располагаться. Есть также несколько ошибок в переводе. Однако 77% строк уже зафиксированы, так что же мы можем сделать?

Fair point there. I have just un-validated the Russian translations so that you can smooth things up now that you can see how it goes in context. Hope it helps

@zfm & @songoku: I took a look, over the last month there has been about 100 players connecting from Indonesia, and about 40 from Slovakia. Do you want us to open the translation system for Indonesian and Slovak ?
