How to tell how many buildings are in stack?

Curious if there's a way to tell how many buildings are in a stack so I can tell how close the game is to an end?

Underneath the board is a display area of your buildings that you have built.
Underneath that is a Progress box. It shows how many civilization cards are left and how many buildings are in each stack.
