Carcassonne Inns and Cathedrals - Inn on T-Junction Tile

When playing the T-junction tile with an inn on the T-junction, does the Board Game Arena version count the inn on both the right and left side of the road, but not down (as stated in the official rules for the physical board game)? The reason I ask is that the tile on Board Game Arena seems to have the inn pretty clearly located on one side of the left/right, but not the other.

The inn only counts for the right street of the T. The left street and the down street do not have an inn - they are normal streets.

I came here to ask the same question, as I believe BGA has this wrong. The board game rules clearly state "The inn counts for the road heading left AND the one heading right, but not heading down".
Link to the rules is here:

I'm fairly new around here... is there any way to report the error, to get it changed?

I agree -- both left and right should be counted as Roads with Inns. That was how it is implemented on the company's own on line version of the game.

Welcome! There is a forum dedicated to bugs. You can then give it the is of the table at which you noticed the bug and the developers will be sent a notification

I think I've discovered the answer. In the original pre-2014 design of Carcassonne the inn was clearly on the right-hand side of the T-junction tile. You can see it here:

In the post-2014 version the inn moved to the centre and the official rules were changed. So while it may not be what many of us are used to, the rules being implemented on BGA are consistent with the tile design being used.

Tokoloshe, thanks for the clarification. I only own and know the pre-2014 edition and there the written rules clearly state that the inn only counts toward the right side of the street. I have never heard of or have seen this new rules with the centered inn.
I am a little bit "shocked" that the game designers changed the layout AND the rules in such a small detail, i.e. without neccessity! I would be happy to learn if the change was only in the english edition (i.e. Z Man Games) or also in the german one (i.e. Hans im Glück).

Now that the new graphics of carcassonne have been implemented, all players using this new graphic will see the inn centralized over the T-junction. All players using the old graphic will see the inn placed over the right street only.
Does anybody know if the programming did change? Is the inn counting towards the left AND the right street now?

The rules are the same in both versions; they have to be that way because you can switch graphics mid-game.
However this means the BGA version is now inconsistent with the new-graphic version's rules (see my link above), where there was a change made to this specific tile. Not sure what the solution would be, though!

You correctly state that the rule set cannot change with the graphics. My question was, whether the programmers have changed the implementation such that the BGA implementation is now inconsistent with the old graphics.
From your answer I deduct that there was no re-implementation of this specific tile...
