Rematch changed the players at the table...

Fairly new to BGA and not sure if this is a bug or we did something wrong?
Two friends and I played 7 Wonders. At the end, one person clicked 'Propose a rematch'. The new table appeared with my two friends, but I'd been replaced by a random person so couldn't play.
Is that meant to happen? Is it best to always create a new table from scratch, rather than using the 'rematch' button?
