More dynamic arrangement of items (or floating windows)

I recently played Terra Mistyca and La Granja, and while the implementation is nice, it is very inconvenient to scroll to Your player board and back to the main board all the time.
I have 2 displays at my computer, yet, I cannot use them to conveniently arrange the items on the screen.
Can this be more dynamic? Or some more optoins? Maybe floating windows?
