Since this weekend, you can enjoy Diam's, a game by Lionel Borg, on Board Game Arena.

Published in 2011 by the French publisher Les XII singes (the XII monkeys), Diam's is a multifaceted combination game that has not yet been published in English. With a public area (the market) and two private areas per player (hand and safe), you will need both insight to guess your opponents objectives, and foresight to keep the appropriate cards in hand in anticipation of a glancing blow! And along the way, some special cards may push you to give some more polish to your strategy...

We wish a very bright future to this little ludic gem, and we wish to extend a big thank you to Les XII singes and to the game author Lionel Borg who suggested an online version and helped us test it to make it shine as much as possible! You should know that Lionel plays on BGA under the pseudonym of Astur: try to rob him of some ice when you get the chance, from what I hear he as got a ton!

I have played hundreds of games in my life, and have played this several times and find it to be QUITE LAME,a weak rip-off of gin rummy without the skill! This game is almost totally random, you collect sets of diamonds but unlike rummy you have so few cards allowed (5) and a set is composed of at least (3) cards,max.(5),there aren't any REAL DECISIONS to make unlike in Rummy,(10) cards ,which sets do I collect and when do I change direction if ever? Since you only can have 5 cards at the end of a turn this takes massive amounts of skill and thinking out of play! The special cards are useless most of the time, just obstructions to set collecting.Overall I have to give this game an "F" for random family fun.
