What version of this game is implemented? There's no 17-gem card. When/why did they drop it?

He mentions in this thread https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... 45&t=12395 that he created a balanced mix of gems based on all variants of the game.
There are only 14 gem cards in this implementation of the game.
