Board Game Arena

Hello!

Can someone explain the rules behind the points attribution in arena mode? Sometimes when we win we get 15 points, another 8, etc. And the same happen when we lose. I can't see the pattern. Could someone explain me?

The number of points you get in backgammon (either arena mode or not) is equal to the number of checkers you have moved out of the board. So if you win you get 15 points (since there are 15 checkers) and the opponents scores the number of checkers moved out so far. If a player resigns, both players get the number of points scored so far, so the winner scores less than 15 points.

If so, how do you explain sometimes the winner get less than 15 points (and there has not concede the game) - sometimes you win and just get 6, 7 points. and obviously if you play with someone with far less points than you (example 300 vs 150) , the points you get are less than if you play with someone of your level (300 vs 310)

and in arena mode, there are two final scores in the end of game: one of them is about the league... and it's this one I'm asking about..

I also don't know the formula involved, but agree that the score in Arena is not the same as # of checkers left. I think it has more to do with the ratio of elo of the players. A better player should win, if not then a bigger cost is taken than against an equal player or a better player.. If you are good, and play a lesser player and loose to the lesser player, your cost can be much bigger than 15 points. (Happens to me often)
