First Steps: stuck on searching for opponents

I'm trying to follow along with the "First Steps with BGA Studio" guide and I've gone as far as creating a new project and connecting to my SFTP folder from my local IDE. The next thing it says to do is go to the Play Now tab and open up a table for the game, at which point I should see what basically amounts to an empty game. I don't have an option to create a table for my game, just the "Play now!" button. I've set my preferences to only play with one player (changed all of the others to "I never want to play with this many players"), but when I click the button it pulls up the "searching for opponents" message and never gets past that. What am I doing wrong here?

Use the "Express Start" button, you can play with 2 or more players, and they'll all be controlled by you.

I swear I'm not going crazy, but the entire "create a table" thing wasn't there last time I tried... thanks!
(I might be going crazy.)

I think there is some kind of delay before it appears (or cache?), I have the same issue every time I create a new project.

I've certainly seen this a couple of times recently, but a couple of refreshes seems to fix it.
