Expansions

Although I love the variety of the games available on the site, it seems like some of the 'older' ones could do with some expansions added. Dominion finally got this (though last I saw it STILL hadn't updated the card images...) as did Gosu, but what about games like Race for the Galaxy? It's a good game, but gets stale fast as the deck really isn't that big. There are at least 2 such expansions that are worth playing simply because they expand the deck. The same could be said of Puerto Rico. Expansions allow for players to choose beforehand which buildings they want so that it becomes less of a chess game and more of a dynamic one. It two has 2 expansions that I know of.

I'm not aware of the cost of hosting expansions vs. full games, but they help breathe life into any old game.

I agree, I would really like to see the first Race for the Galaxy expansion at least. :D

Hi,

Please take a look at this post which should answer your question about expansions (and some more about game development constraints if you read up the thread):
