What do the "Placing Workers Turn" and "Pickup Workers Turn" stats refer to?

If it's the number of workers placed vs picked up, wouldn't those be even in almost every game?

(I've searched the FAQs, Forums, and even Google for an answer and have found nothing)

The number of workers placed per turn and/or the number of workers picked up per turn would vary based on playstyle. For example, to you tend to place all of your workers on a single turn, and then pick them up one by one or two by two? OR, in contrast, do you tend to place your workers one or two per turn, and then pick them all up on a single turn? This stat could illuminate much about the efficiency of your playstyle.
