Voice chat in same household

Hi,

My wife and I play on BGA with a group of friends. The friends are remote, and my wife and I are in the same same house but each on our own PC. We found that when we do voice chat, my wife and I can both hear the other players, and they can hear us, but we (my wife and I) cannot hear each other. I assume this is because we are in the same household. This would be fine if we were in the same room, but we are on different floors of the house and often end up (unknowingly) talking over each other which annoys the other players. I've looked through my preferences on the site and don't see anything that looks relevant -- is there any way to fix this?

Thanks!

Are you sure it is not a one time error? When i play with my family we are mostly annoyed by that because everybody can hear eacother through voice chat. Its kind of a problem when there is bunch of people in the same room.

Other than that i would suggest using a third party app for the communication, we use discord and its a lot versatile than the built in voice chat of bga.

It could have been a one-time error, we've only tried it once. :-)

We sometimes use a third-party app for voice, but the group had been liking the BGA chat so we used it this time. I guess if it continues to be a problem we'll have to do that. Thanks for the response!
