Number of players in carcassonne arena mode

Hello,
Sorry in advance if this was discussed already, could not find it.
Would it be possible to have an arena mode with more than 2 players (3 or 4) ?
Personally, I find it more interesting, not a one way one against one, rather a trade search where you band with one opponent sometimes, then with the other, to have highest points at the end.
