Board Game Arena

Hello,

today i played an Arena-game (Terra Mystica). After the first round one of the players left. The left guy lost the game and the rest of us tied at the first place. Because my Arenarating was much highter than the rating of the other players i lost -5 Arenapoints with that game. How can that be? I thought you fixed that after Season 0? It can not be that you loose points if you dont even have the possibility to finish the game... I was pretty sure to win that game (worst case 2and). Yesterday i played a game where i won +6 Arenapoints at the end of the game (2h Game!) and today after 20 min i lost -5 for a potential win?!

The second point is, that with this system the players with lower ranking are not willing to wait until the left player returns. Sometimes some player just have connection problems and return after some minutes. For player with lower ranting it always makes sense to finish the game after the time runs out, because they win points without a win... In my eyes this is not fair

I really like BGA. There is no other boardgamesite that is nearly as good as BGA (and i played on a lot boardgamesites!). But things like that takes away my desier to play Is there any possibility to fix that problem as fast as possible?

Yeah this issue (loosing points when somone leaves) has been raised several times already unfortunately ; the problem is that the system consider it a draw between all the remaining players; it is fixable, since they have fixed it for regular games if I am not wrong. I understand it is not a priority with the kind of challenge the crew of this site faced in the recent months; often it is not so much that it is a big lost or make such a difference, but it does feel very unfair to loose points because someone else quit. Hope they can fix it soon; would be a shame if that would have a say in the final standing of an arena season...

Not much to add!

This issue has been brought up recently by Sprockitz & Babbuc, and still nothing has been done about it. It affects the integrity of the arena
competition.

This problem has been mentioned in the forum over and over again by various people. But so far no one made an actual bug report for this. I strongly suggest to the thread opener to make a real bug report in the bug section! Then give the link to the bug report in this thread (ideally edit your top post) so that people can upvote for the bug report.

Maybe the fact that admins have not even reacted in the forums to this problem is a way of them to educate us to actually use the bug report section.
