Arena Settings

I wonder why the Arena Settings where chosen like this?
I enjoy short tracks a lot more than long tracks, and while I think GT-5 Sunny is a nice setting, I would prefer Random/Random for GT and Weather as it allows more variety to the game.
Would it be possible to change this (maybe even in the running Season, as the game is so new).
It's possible to choose number of lanes - maybe it should be possible for the other settings as well?
What do other people think about the arena settings?
Edit: Oh, and please set Track to "Random". Being able to select a preference for a track allows you to specialize on one track, and only play on that - which makes the game a bit more boring.
