Downforce is a card-driven bidding, racing, and betting game for 2-6 players based on Top Race, the award-winning design by the legendary Wolfgang Kramer. Players first bid to own the six cars in the race, then they play cards from their hand to speed them around the track. However, most cards will also move their opponents' cars. So figuring out just the right time to play a card is the key to victory. Moreover, winning the race is not the only way to win the game as you also win by betting on the race winner ... and can end up on helping an opponent winning the race because you bet big on their car!

Please note that this is a premium game, so for those who are not premium users, you can play the game during the alpha period. Enjoy while it lasts ! Just ask me and I will add you into the Downforce players group so that you can play it as much as you want.

Although the game is already playable, I am in the process of implementing the extensions (more circuits, more powers!).

Hey, it is probably not best place to ask but as you mentioned that I expect that you will know the answer - what determines game to be premium?

In that case, publisher preference, which is fine I think. In other cases, I imagine that this is a delicate arbitration for the BGA admins between site funding and users needs.
