I understand the rules for pit stops, but how do you actually use them in the game/app? I can't find any buttons to press to allow me to use it. I'll be wrecked on the side of the road with 00 and not on a special spot. But I can't figure out how to send my car to the pits.

I've only played solo so far, so I can learn the game. Are pit stops not available in solo mode?

Pit Stop:
You have to stop your car in Gear 1. (NOT 0 or 00)
Not in the middle lane.
Not in a space with a speed limit or a warning.
You will be positioned in Gear 0 if you just change tires. In Gear 00 if you will repair the car or change tires+repair.

I'm not asking about the rules. I understand the rules. I know that you have stop on the side of the road. How do you do it in the app? What am I supposed to click on to actually send the car to the pits?

You have to stop your car in Gear 1 and it's automatic if you need (changing weather or mechanic problem )

Not when you are talking about something 'automatic' unless the game reads my mind.
Either it's automatic using an algorithm based on "need" (wrong tire/damaged) or it is at the user discretion (based on will). It cannot be both.
As I understand it *must* be based on will, i don't see why the game would ever force me to go to the stands and lower my speed if I don't want to even if I have the wrong tires.
Or the offer to stop could be based on "need" (wrong tire/damaged) which bring me back to a point I made about the rule book not being clear as to whether stopping to do nothing is allowed.

I hope I understand correctly but

You can make a pit stop to change tires and repair car
You can also don't make a pit stop even if you are broken or have wrong tires

You can also make a pit stop and don't repair or don't change tires
