Poor Reputation system

Hi mods,
I missed a few games due to unavoidable circumstances and my reputation took a hit . I tried joining games but most ppl would avoid playing with me as my rep became low. Hence they red thumb me . I slowly built my reputation by finishing games to 76% and suddenly it is moderated to 60% again as i have too many red thumbs.
I find this to be very unfair and like I am trapped in a vicious cycle where I have a low rep and hence get red flagged and I get a lower rep because I am red flagged.
