Board Game Arena

I've opened several suggestions based on how I've always played the game in Spain. If you would like them to be implemented, please vote. The idea would be to make them optional at set-up.

I can understand the no-variant policy for games published with an author. But for traditional games where there is no credited author and there are plenty of variants around the world, it's hard to talk about an "original" version. f we take a look at Wikipedia (I know, not the most reliable source), we can see the origin of the game is not clear and that there are many variants, so who's to say which one is the "original" and which "variant" is more "official". Even for the Spanish Brisca I'm seeing rules that I wasn't familiar with, so even inside of Spain there must be many ways to play it (as in Italy).

Maybe the bottom line is that the "Briscola" implemented here should keep its name instead of being translated to "Brisca" in Spanish, which is misleading and can be confusing to —at least— Spanish players.

In any case, it's OK not to implement the "variants" I suggested (my bug-reports didn't receive much support anyway). And if one day BGA decides to implement Brisca, the Spanish traditional card game, most of the work done for Briscola would be usable.
