Hi, where is the community's view at regarding the Jack of Diamonds as a play-option variant?

Usually, I play this variation, whereby a player who is able to gather the Jack of Diamonds over the course of a hand, receives -11 Points (or +11 in Board Game Arena logic). It makes the game play longer, and requires different tactics - but it is a thoroughly enjoyable addition to Hearts strategy.

Would love to hear your thoughts / if it has been something which has been discussed in previous years.

I played this variant on occasion when I was growing up. Never liked it much.

I'm also not a fan. I dislike it when variations clutter the interface suce as with Hive. If this would be introduced I would hope it wold be an entirely different game.

I like this variation of hearts

I can't stand the J of diamonds. The game is great as is. A big change like the J completely changes it.
