Edge case unresolved by the rules

Hi everybody,

You will think that I have a twisted mind, but the rules do not specify what happens if a (probably unskilled) player get as many -1 malus token on gear/black dice than the number he has (ie. 4 with GT-4, 5 with GT-5, 6 with GT-6) and as many -1 than the gas/white dice he has, so he has no right to use them anymore. In that case, he is unable to move anymore since there is no die to throw. But the rules do not specify it is eliminated either.

Tested it on BGA with a Solo game. In that situation, the only possible action proposed to the player is to pass, which seems sensible. But imagine (an even more unlikely event), that two players are in that situation; both would then pass undefinitely and the game would last forever unless one of them forfeits.

I don't make a bug report for that since it is mainly a problem with the rules, which have a void, than a problem with the adaptation itself. But maybe the authors should give their views to prevent that dead-lock and the necessary be done for the adaptation here.

My two cents,

Woodruff

OK thanks.
Could be considered as a bug then.
@Mistergos: if you have some spare time...

Note: Only tested on Solo game, not a bug if the player is effectively eliminated during a multiplayer game.

This case is resolved in the FAQ, page 3 of "Rallyman_GT FAQ_Errata.pdf".

You can access to this document from https://holygrail.games/en/games/rallyman-gt/ .
You'll find a orange link "Frequently Asked Questions" on the top of the page, on the right.

I learned about this document in the bug report: #18346: "Wrong turn order"
https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=18346 .
