what are the preset deck of the day

Hello!
I see that in hanabi, we have the option to select 5 preset deck of the day and I wonder what does that mean?

My logic tells me that every day there are 5 random arranged decks and that they are fixed for 24 hours and then randomly generated again... Is that so? If so, then it doesn't make a lot of sense to use them in turn based games that extend for weeks, right?

finally, is it specified somewhere at what time are they reset? (for any specific time zone)

Thanks a lot!

Yes.

I can't speak much for turnbased games, but - why not? We mainly use presets to compare several groups approach to the same deck - starting hands, priorities and ways to clue things... and it can easily serve for the same purpose of comparing teams that play turnbased.

As far as I remember it isn't specified by BGA, though by trial-and-error certain group figured deck reset is between 23:00 GMT and 1:00 (I believe 23:00).

Thanks for your reply!

Indeed I missed the point that if you start several turn-based games at the same time with the same preset deck, then you are actually playing with the same deck and you can compare how different groups play it out! Thanks for bringing that up! (on the other hand, you will probably be able to know what it coming in all games except for the one that is more advanced, right?

Thanks again! have fun!
