Backgammon

So glad to see Backgammon on BGA. I would love to see a couple key upgrades:

1. Implementation of the doubling cube

2. The ability to play a match instead of a single game. A match is usually to 5, 7, 9, etc. points. The cube is used so it's possible for a win to be worth more than one point. And matches generally use the Crawford Rule -- if the leader is one point away from victory, the doubling cube is not used.

Adding these would add a lot more strategy than one-off games, and would allow for the possibility of proper backgammon tournaments.

After all this is in place, it would be great to see a Chouette format as well! https://bkgm.com/variants/Chouette.html

Keep up the good work, BGA!

There are plenty of people asking for the doubling cube in other topics as well.

It would fasten the game since you don't have to play each game till the very last checker is lift off the table, which is a tedious part when you are far ahead in the race, because in that case your opponent would refuse to double.

Many games on this website can be played with different settings, while this game can be played only with 1-point matches. In fact BGA is a great place for the other games, but backgammon would be a lot more interesting if 3-point matches and 5-point matches were allowed.

Agree 100%.
Doubling cube and multipoint matches needed.
