I didn't win any points for https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=95727084. why?

Too much difference between diamond and bronze league to let you advance in the arena tier rating. In the background you get some arena-„ELO“, but you can‘t see that as long as you don‘t make it to elite.

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently. It seems bogus to match me with such a lower-level player if winning does nothing for my Arena points - especially when the consequence of losing that game is that I would take a big hit to Arena points.

Have you tried clicking on the little gear by the game in arena mode, and changing your settings to only be matched with people close to your ranking?

I am having the same problem now while trying to get from Diamond into Elite league, after six or seven wins in a row i'm still in Diamond and a couple of those wins earned o (zero) league 'pips'. This is happening when I'm playing people with similar ELO scores so I jut don't get it.... will i ever get out of Diamond!!???

You don't get any 'pips' by winning against players from more than 2 leagues below you. Elo is irrelevant in Arena.

And yes, it is stupid that by default you can get matched to players against which you can't win any points.

I think it's actually more that it's a stupid rule ie you should always get at least one shield for a win regardless of level difference

I don't understand why this would happen? I can understand in a Simple match where you just want a game, but in Arena why would anyone put their points on the line for no potential gain?

I am having the same issue - so I would rather wait to play someone where I can advance. I have won 5 of my last 7 games and gotten no advancement, but the two games I lost wiped it all out.

Come on BGA - do something about this
