Use rating list from another site for Swiss initial ranking?

Maybe this should go in the Suggestions forum, not here. But I just wanted to know how difficult my proposal would be to implement.

There is another game server, Little Golem, which has, I believe, the strongest humans on the planet with respect to the board game Hex. I am trying to get more of them to participate here. In August, the Mind Sports Olympiad, which has gone online this year, will hold a Swiss Hex tournament on BGA. There may be several players from LG who will show up. Most of the strong players there either have not played here at all or have played only a few games.

So, I was hoping that the LG rating list could be used here, NOT to modify the Elo ratings system in place here in any way, but to be the primary criterion for generating the rankings list that will be used for the Swiss system pairings.

Ideally, these other players should just play a lot here to get the good ratings, and the problem will solve itself. But I'm all wrapped up in trying to assure fair initial pairings which would improve the overall fairness of the tournament, which is only a couple months away.

Would someone kindly explain to me the amount of headache this would entail?

Thanks for any clue.

EDIT the LG ratings list is here.

Hi.
Players need to have 100 points in order to participate .

You may be worried in an élimination tournament because of a bad draw.
If you organize a swiss tournament where everybody plays the same amount of games, it won't be really a problem.

Thanks for the information!

A Swiss is more fair than single elimination, so it won't be as much of a problem, but an accurate initial rating list is an essential part of what makes a Swiss system fair in the first place.

When launching the tournament, I intend to check all the boxes regarding who is allowed to play, including beginners and apprentices. Are you telling me that those check boxes have no effect on who is actually allowed to play?
