I am actually not sure of the rules of Determined.

Is it if the final square you land on is rectangular, then the power will trigger?
If that is the case, Then there is alot of instances of it not triggering in this game: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=98528720

Or is it all the spaces you move in the turn must be square?

It will trigger if you move ONLY on rectangular spaces. In your game I see that this has been correctly handled.
