Arena mode opponent selection

In arena mode I seem to play the same opponent a lot. One person is currently 50% of my games. I don't mind playing them they play fast so games are quick, but a bit more variety would be good. Even if it meant waiting longer for a game to start. Is there a way to force it to only select people you are not currently playing?

You can give them a thumbs down. Click "I want to avoid this person," then answer "it's just my personal opinion" when it asks if everyone should avoid that player. I do this for people who are rude, but don't cross the line over to abusive.

Happy to keep playing them in fact I want to they are a nice challenge, just not every other game (might even be more than that given how often they move compared to some other people).

This is really not the way the red thumb system should be used. Sounds like a good reason
not to play Arena Mode for games with a small player pool.
BGA were adamant at the time of developing arena mode that small player pool games would not suffer in any way.

And a lot of the ‘top’ players were adamant that there would be issues
